EVA DELLE OTTS MONTAGUE Arkansas - Eva Delle Otts Montague, 85, died Sunday at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Ft. Smith, Arkansas on December 16, 2012. A Lee County native, she was born on August 7, 1927, to Hosie Monroe and Frances Parker Otts. She worked as a seamstress for many years until she was able to pursue her passion of loving and caring for countless unwanted and homeless cats and dogs. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Verona where she taught a ladies' Sunday school class for many years before moving to Greenwood, AR, in 2005 where she lived with her son, Brad, as her caregiver. Survivors include her son, Bradley Hosie Otts of Greenwood, AR; her daughter, Donna Frances Root Miller (Mike) of Maumelle, AR; her step-son, James L. Montague, III of Tallahassee, Florida; two grandchildren, Sherry Otts of Sioux Falls, SD, and Michael E. Miller, Jr. (Paula) of Kingwood, TX ; three great-grandchildren, Christian Marshall Ramsey and Alexander Bradley Ramsey of Randolph, MS, and Alexandria Iris Miller of Kingwood, TX; her grandson-in-law, Marty Ramsey of Randolph; one sister-in-law, Madeline L. Otts of Grand Junction, CO; and two nieces, Melanie Otts Hoy of Grand Junction, CO and Pamela Otts Gutierrez. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, William Bradley Otts; her beloved niece, Patricia Otts Thompson; her two brothers, Donald Franklin "Buddy" Otts and Robert Monroe Otts; her two nephews, Robert Franklin Otts and Thomas Prentiss Otts; and her husband, James Lewis Montague, Jr. Because of her passionate love for animals, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local animal shelter. Visitation will be Wednesday, 4 - 6 p.m. at W. E. Pegues Funeral Home on Jefferson Street.
