Tupelo - Eva Mae Foster, 87, died Saturday, December 4, 2010, at The North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born in Lee County on May 13, 1923 to James Sump and Myrtle Hall Wheeler. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Unity Presbyterian Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She loved quilting, flowers and outdoors. In her earlier years she worked on the family dairy farm. She also worked many years at Hunter Sadler. For the past two years, she had lived at the Martin Green House.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2010 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. John Armistead officiating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery (East of Plantersville).
Survivors include three sons, Clarence P. Foster, Jr. (Rhonda) of Seminole, Florida, Wayne Foster (Connie) and Tim Foster (Becky) both of Tupelo; one sister, Annie Faye Barnes of Tupelo; three sisters-in-law, Rena McVay of Tupelo, Minnie Vanderford of Corpus Christi, Texas and Helen Wheeler of Madison; 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Presley Foster, Sr. in 1993 and three brothers, John, Jim and Raymond Wheeler.
Pallbearers will be Gary Foster, Chris Foster, Matt Foster, Jacob Foster, Michael Dozier, Robert Goldstein, James Barnes, Roland Barnes and Tommy Foster.
Visitation will be 2 - 5 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the funeral home.
