EVA J. ALLRED
Tupelo - Eva J. Allred, 78, died Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at The Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. A Itawamba County native, she was born June 10, 1928, to the late Andrew Thomas and Vivian Lou Sheffield Broughman. She liked sewing and working with ceramics. She also enjoyed taking care of her home and loved reading the Bible. She was known throughout her life for her love of the Lord and her church, Cedar Grove Pentecostal Church.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Danny Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include two daughters, Delaine Dillard and husband, Tommy, of Tupelo, Barbara Kidd of Tupelo; three sons, Donald Allred and wife, Anne, of Tupelo, Larry Allred and wife, Linda, of Jackson, and Tim Allred and wife, Vickie, of Tupelo; one brother Dock Broughman of Keizer, Ark.; 11 grandchildren, Kimberly Palmer, Chris Allred, John Kidd, Mike Kidd, Rosanne Dillard, Phillip Dillard, all of Tupelo, Kursti Allred, Tommy Allred, Darla Allred, Curtis Allred and Michael Allred, all of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 29 years, William Allred, three sisters, Christine Simmons, Jean Mangum, and Earnestine Steele; and her brother, Buddy Broughman.
Pallbearers will be Roger Bean, Anthony Bean, Mike Kidd, Chris Allred, Ricky Pickens, Randy Pickens, Zackary White.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
