EARLINE FLY
Tupelo - EUNICE EARLINE FLY, 90, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at Tupelo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. A Lee County native, she was born April 8, 1917 to the late Raymond Ellis and Ella Wilcy Willis Baker. She was a homemaker and had worked several years at Amory Garment Manufacturing. She was the widow of Alvin Cap Fly who preceded her in death June 1, 1992. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and Chinese checkers, cooking, canning vegetables, and sewing. She was most remembered for her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchilden. She was a member of Cedar Grove Pentecostal Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Cedar Grove Pentecostal Church with Rev. Danny Robbins and Rev. Boyce Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, east of Hatley. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Sellars of Plantersville and Beverly Ford of Tupelo; three sons, Donald Fly of Nettleton, Bill Fly of West Bend, Wisc., and Tom Fly of Southaven; two brothers, W.O. Baker of Tupelo and Coleman Baker of Clarksdale; 16 grandchildren, Stephanie Sanders and Cheryl Ford, both of Tupelo, Kim Williams of Memphis, Tenn., Tracy Barnett and Timmy Barnett both of Saltillo, Bryan Moses of Tupelo, LaRee Chapuis of Senatobia, Becky Barthel of Marshall, Tex., Barbara Spangler of New Waverly, Tex., Russell Dunn of Conroe, Tex., Missy Bristow and Mitch Fly, both of Tupelo, Michael Fly of Nettleton, Mark Fly of Cuming, Ga., Andi Gonzales of West Bend, Wisc., and Noii Fly of Albuquerque, N.M.; 36 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and her special care-giver, Amy Cabrera.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Betty Bowers; two sisters, Clara Cook and Allie Mae Winters; and three brothers, Quitman Baker, Marshall Baker, and George Baker; five grandchildren, Donald Fly, Jr., John Lawrence, Heidi Flye, Audrey Flye, and Cady Flye.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Moses, Tracy Barnett, Timmy Barnett, Matthew Sanders, Wade Williams, Bobby Sellars, Adam Iram, and T.J. Barnett.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and 1:30 until service time at the church.
