TUPELO - Esther Wiley Rush, 65, died Friday, March 9, 2007, at the North Miss. Medical Center in Tupelo after a brief illness. She was born Nov. 11, 1941, in Dora, Alabama to the late Robert Monroe and Lula Mae Clark Wiley. While living in Birmingham she was a member of First Baptist Church of Sandusky and was a member of the choir for many years. She graduated from Ensley High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She was employed as an office manager at Goldstein and Cohen in Ensley, Ala. She had lived in Tupelo for the last 23 years where she worked at Sears in loss prevention, Billy's Quick Stop and at Stockyards Inc. as an accountant. She was a member of Chesterville Baptist Church. She enjoyed helping people and making people laugh.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Chuck Moffett officiating. Also a celebration of life services will be graveside at 2 p.m. Monday at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Adamsville, Ala. with Pastor Ricky Thacker officiating.

Survivors include one son, Jason Rush of Belden; one sister, Ruth Henslee of Huntsville, Ala.; three nephews, Mark Wiley, Jeff Henslee and Robbie Henslee; three great-nephews, Matthew Henslee, Jonathan Henslee and Aaron Henslee; one great-niece, Madison Nicole Henslee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Doyle Wiley.

Pallbearers will be Michael Daugherty, Adam Christian, James Henslee, Nathan Tidwell, Philip Crow and Mark Wiley.

Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the funeral home.
