Erma "Frances" Payne

ERMA FRANCE PAYNE Guntown - Erma Frances Payne, 78, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at the North Mississippi Medical Center, Hospice Unit. She was born in the Longview Community in Pontotoc County on December 12, 1936, to Leland and Syble Angle Brown. She attended Allen Chapel in Skyline. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the Jefferson Street Chapel with Bro. Robert McCoy officiating. A graveside will follow at Gilvo Cemetery. Survivors include her husband of almost 59 years, Cecil Payne of Guntown; one son, David Byron Payne (Rita) of Wynne, Arkansas; six grandchildren, David Michael Payne of Wisconsin, Daniel Ryan Payne (Mindy) of Texas, Bailey Nicole Hendricks (Keith) of Wheeler, Amber Leshea Rabon and Wesley David Payne of Chesterville and Katie Kellum (Mark) of Skyline; three sisters, Janet DuBois, Wanda Arnold (Bob) and Dotty Whaley (John), all of Tupelo; 10 great-grandchildren; special friend and caretaker, Amelia Mask of Guntown. She was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Cecil Payne, Jr. on April 18, 1994; her parents; one brother and one sister. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2015, at the funeral home.
