EMOGENE SANDLIN

Saltillo - EMOGENE SANDLIN, 91, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at Baldwyn Nursing Facility after an extended illness. A Guntown native, she was born December 1, 1915 to the late C.H. and Bertie Hutcheson Moore. She was a seamstress for 37 years with Blue Bell Manufacturing. A longtime resident of Saltillo, she was the widow of Joe Sandlin. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for helping those in need. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Saltillo.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Dr. Ken Anderson and and Dr. Juston Gates officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Edge and husband, Travis, of Saltillo; her sister-in-law, Ruby Deleon of Florence, Ala.; her brother, Archie Moore of Plantersville; three grandsons, Garry Edge and wife, Sandra of Greenwood, Mike Edge and wife, Gay, of Cordava, Tenn., and Tim Edge of New York City; four great-grandchildren, Amy Bingham and husband, Russ, Amanda Edge, Jennifer Edge, and Jeffrey Edge..

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; and one brother, Carlton Moore.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Saltillo Funeral Home.
