ELSIE FRANCIS Tupelo - Elsie Francis, 95, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at her home. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on August 3, 1917, to Frederick I. and Robbie Mae Trout. She was a graduate of Humes High School, Memphis TN. She began working with the Tupelo Community Development Foundation and later for twenty-eight years with T.V.A. She was a very active member of First Presbyterian Church. A very creative and imaginative person, she was known for her table decorations. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. Tom Groome and Rev. Dr. Ron Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Survivors include her son, Ke Francis, Jr. (Mary) of Oviedo, Florida; one granddaughter, Kerry Francis of Tupelo; three great-grandchildren, Zoe, Hana, and Akasha. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ke Francis; one daughter, Carol Francis. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the funeral home.
