ELLIS RAY CURRY Tupelo - Ellis Ray Curry, 67, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born June 23, 1947 to the late Joe E. and Rebecca Sheffield Curry. He was a lifelong member of East Heights Assembly of God. His hobbies included reading his Bible, going to church and collecting caps. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2014 at East Heights Assembly of God Church with Rev. Mike Price and Rev. Merle Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Unity Presbyterian Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include wife of 27 years, Libby Harville Cook Curry; one sister, Alice Faye Lee Rice; sister-in-law, Jenny Thompson Curry Stephens; four uncles; one aunt; three nephews; one niece; two grand-nephews; two grand-nieces and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by his parents; on his parents side, four uncles; six aunts; on his mothers' side, one uncle and three aunts. Pallbearers will be Jim Rice, Jeff Rice, Mark Webb, Joe Bartlett, Jimmy Carroll Tutor, Bobby Smoak, Bobby Bridgeman Honorary Pallbearer will be R.L. Estes. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to service time Friday, December 26 atEast Heights Assembly of God .
