Coffeeville - Ellie Wayne McMillen, 73, died Friday, September 24, 2010, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born July 10, 1937 to Albert and Ada Bell McMillen. He was a professional mechanic who took pride in his work. He was of the Church of God faith. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2010 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Wesley Kingsley and Bro. Kevin Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in Keyes Cemetery.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Mary Lou McMillen; his devoted companion of 23 years, Ellen M. Looney of Coffeeville; four daughters, Mary Helen Blaylock (Ray) of Fulton, Brenda Ellenburg of Greenville, Annette McMillen of Fulton, Ellie Katchuba of Webster, Florida; four sons, Jerry McMillen (Carolyn) of Guntown, John McMillen (Kathy) of Kirkville, Paul McMillen of Mantachie and Eddie Jordan (Phyllis) of Hazlehurst; 31 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one step-son; one grandchild; one great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Derek McMillen, Brandon McMillen, Anthony McMillen, Michael McMillen, Nelson McMillen, B. J. Mills, Eddie Jordan and Adrian McMillen.
Honorary pallbearer will be Earnest Banton.
Visitation will be 4 - 9 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the funeral home.
