Effie Mae Parker
MANTACHIE - Effie Mae Payne Parker, 44, died Sunday, June 10, 2007, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A Mississippi native, she was born Nov. 16, 1962, to Bessie Lee Harris Payne and the late J.B. "Humpy" Payne. She was a Baptist. She enjoyed her pets, car races and loved to fish.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, William Parker of Mantachie; her mother, Bessie Lee Sheffield; three sisters, Rose Neblett and husband, Jerry, and Diane Boyd and husband, Mike, all of Tupelo, and Loretta Dunn and husband, Gene, of Water Valley; two brothers, Terry Joe Payne and J.B. Junior Payne and his wife, Pam, all of Tupelo; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold and Lillie Harris and Lillard and Sam Payne; her father, J.B. "Humpy" Payne; and two brothers, Andy Sheffield and Daniel Harris.
