EFFIE SNIPES FREDERICK
TUPELOEffie Snipes Frederick, 86, died Friday, January 20, 2006, at Beverly Healthcare. She was born March 8, 1919 to the late Berton C. and Vicie West Snipes. She was a homemaker and loved gardening and sewing. She owned and operated the Frederick Purse Factory. She was a member of Palmetto Baptist Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Wayne Frederick officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Marlin "Booty Frederick and wife, Callie Ruth of Shannon; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Frederick of Tupelo; seven grandchildren, Ava McMullen of Shannon, Cindy Cox and husband, Barry, of Haleyville, AL, Tonya Scott and husband Jeff, of Shannon, Eddie Frederick and wife, Debbie, of Mooreville, Wendy Pound and husband, Chuck, of Pontotoc, Ramona Nelson and husband, Tim, of Olive Branch, Shaunna Logan and husband, Terry, of Olive Branch; 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Clint Frederick; two sons, Alton and Rayburn Frederick; six sisters, Ruby Frederick, Mary Kelly, Lillian Frederick; Willie Pannell, Lula Grubbs, and Sarah Barnes.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Eddie Frederick, Chuck Pound, Jeff Scott, Barry Cox, Tim Nelson, and Jerry Logan.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home.
