Edward J. McFadden
TUPELO - Edward Jefferson McFadden, 69, died Thursday, May 25, 2006, at his residence after an extended illness. A native of Fulton, he was born June 4, 1936, to the late Covella and Bertha Wouldridge McFadden. He was retired truck driver. He was an avid Ole Miss fan and enjoyed sports. He was well loved by his family.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Troy Alley officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Anna McFadden of Tupelo; three daughters, Anna Payne and husband, David, of Auburn, Mary Cathcart and husband, Ken, of Mooreville, and Virginia Denton and husband, Timothy, of Tupelo; four sons, James Arnold and wife, Mary, of Mooreville, Warren Arnold of the home, Johnny Arnold and wife, Christy, of Auburn, and Danny Arnold and wife, Cindy, of Skyline; 20 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one sister, Samantha Winfield of Greere, S.C.; one brother, Henery McFadden and wife, Ardie, of Three Oaks, Mich.; a special friend, Harold Hill of Tupelo; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Timothy Wayne Denton II; and a sister, Vivian Swords.
Pallbearers will be James, Warren, Alex, Danny and Johnny Arnold, Brent and Tim Denton, Ken Cathcart and Neal Gant.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
