Tater Hills- Edward Dee "Ed" Webb, 56, died Monday, November 2, 2009, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A native of Dearborne, Michigan, he was born December 24, 1952 to Elmer D. and Bettye Wilmoth Webb. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. Following his career in the Marines, he was an interstate truck driver. He enjoyed playing computer games and special time spent with grandkids, nieces, nephews and etended family. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Memorial Services will be 4 p.m. Thursday at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Lowell Johnson officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Renee Webb of the Tater Hills Community; four children , Jennifer Conley (Jason) of Tater Hills, Charles Matthew Webb of Tater Hills, Kristina Jewett (Thomas) of Jacksonville, Fla. and Edward Webb II (Kathlene) of Jacksonville, Fla.; the mother of his last two children, Darlene Fredrick of Jacksonville, Fla.; his mother-in-law, Lois Hardin (J.E.) of the Richmond Community; one sister, Jenny Beth McCommon (Joe) of Wren; one brother, David Webb, Sr. (Carolyn) of Tater Hills; his parents, Elmer D. Webb and Bettye Wilmoth Webb of Tater Hills; nine grandchildren, Peyton, Savanah, Katelyn, Shelby, Daniel, Mya, Lily, Seth, and Heaven; nieces, Amanda, Jessi, Jamie, Jessica, Kelley, Waylen, Megan, Katelyn, Ayana, and Lexi; nephews, David Jr. (Amanda), Jason, Allen, T. J., Jordan, Justin, and Ryan; two sisters -in-law, Denise Phillips (Jerome) of Fulton and Tammy Jones (Jeff) of Livingston, La.; two brothers-in-law, Jay Hardin (Melissa) of Houston and Trampis Hardin of Iraq..
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Charles Boyer.
