Tupelo - Edna Faye McLarty, 79, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at her residence after an extended illness. A Union County native, she was born February 4, 1931 to Adam and Pearl Lee Dye. She enjoyed flower gardening and cooking for family. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Graveside Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Tupelo Memorial Park with Mr. Sammy Lansdell officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Hall (Charles) of Dorsey; four sons, Jimmy Lee McLarty (Nancy) of California, Ron McLarty (Barbara) of Saltillo, Ricky McLarty (Debbie) of California, and Michael McLarty (Diane) of Saltilo; three sisters, Nettie Mae Hughes of Arkansas, Maureene Donahue of New Albany, and Betty Hopkins of New Albany; one brother, James Dye of New Albany; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Ray, Clay Raper, Charlie Hall, Adam Loden, Ron McLarty, and Teresa Hall.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
