Edna Ruth Funderburk

Eggville Community - Edna "Ruth" Funderburk, 85, died on Monday, March 14, 2016, after an extended illness. She was born in the Lee County area of Mississippi on October 7, 1930, to Jim and Nannie Lou Phillips. She was a devout Christian and a member of Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy in Mooreville. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Wayne Thorn and Rev. David Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include six children, Kenneth Funderburk of Tupelo, Gloria Edwards (Gary) of Tupelo, Debbie Hartkopp (Rick) of Denver, Colorado, Mike Funderburk (Betty) of Tupelo, Robert Funderburk (Nikki) of Selmer, Tennessee and Shirley Marie Funderburk of Denver, Colorado; siblings, John Wayne Phillips of Tupelo, Kenneth Phillips of Tupelo, Shirley Parker of Blue Springs; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years, Charles Kenneth Funderburk; siblings, Leon, Lynn, Wesley "Chuck", Anne, Jimmy and Mildred. Pallbearers will be Stephen Funderburk, Joey Robbins, Timothy Langley, Nathaniel Langley, Josh Phillips, Jay Thompson, Jonathan Funderburk and Brian Kramer. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at W.
