Eddie Collums

Tupelo - Eddie Rayburn Collums, Jr., 23, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at The North Mississippi Medical Center due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A Tupelo native, he was born August 9, 1987 to Eddie Rayburn and Elizabeth Hollie Collums. He worked as a roofer for A-1 Roofing. He enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, fishing, and camping.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. James Wilson and Bro. Ray Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Tremont Cemetery .

Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Collums of Tupelo; one sister, Brandie Rayburn (Gary) of Tremont; two brothers, Charles Collums (Shelia) of Walnut and Brandon Collums of Tupelo; his grandmother, Mary Hollie of Tupelo; three nieces, Joy Rayburn, Isabelle Rayburn, and Lona Beth Collums; and one nephew,Gary Rayburn Jr.; his step father, Doc Wilson of Tupelo; his step-brother, Rudy Wilson of Tupelo; several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Rayburn Collums; his grandparents, Claymon Collums Sr and Marie Collums; and a cousin, L.J. Buchanan.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
