Ed Schuh
Tupelo- Edward Louis Schuh, 82, died Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. Ed was born September 20, 1935 in Calhoun County to Frederick Louis and Thelma Gray Ellis Schuh. In 1954, he graduated from Bruce High School and in 1958 from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelors in Pharmacy. Ed later earned his Doctorate from the University of Tennessee. On April 1, 1959, he married the love of his life, the former Shirley McCarthy and together they had three children.
For 52 years, Ed was a pharmacist in various pharmacies across North Mississippi. Ed was a founding member of Oak Ridge Christian Church and later moved his membership to First Christian Church both of Tupelo. He enjoyed coaching baseball, football and softball. In his free time, he also enjoyed woodworking and brim fishing.
Survivors include his sons, Maury Schuh and his wife, Susan of Tupelo and Mark Schuh of Tupelo; grandchildren; neices; nephews and brother-in-law, Larry McCarthy and his wife, Peggy.
He was preceded by his parents; wife, Shirley Schuh in 2005 and one son, Edward Matthew Schuh in 1965.
Visitation will be 4 until 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Ron Harris officiating. Burial will be at Baldwyn Masonic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Matt McCarthy, Michael McCarthy, Josh McCoy, Luke Vails and Wes Morton.
