EBB LEE LODEN, JR.



Saltillo - Ebb Lee Loden, Jr., 81, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at the Countrywood Plantation in Mantachie. He was born in Tupelo on December 20, 1932, to Ebb Lee, Sr. and Pauline Lambert Loden. He was raised in Dorsey and graduated from Itawamba Agricultural High School. He went on to graduate from The University of Mississippi with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Ebb married his beloved wife, Agnes Easterling in 1956 and they recently celebrated fifty-seven years of marriage.



Ebb retired from Tennessee Valley Authority as a customer service manager after forty-seven years of service. He was a dedicated member and former deacon at First Baptist Church, Saltillo. He also served previously as music director for Birmingham Ridge Baptist Church. Ebb was also a member of the Gideon?s.



He loved sports, especially following the Ole Miss Rebels. He also was a former little league baseball coach. He enjoyed woodworking and photography, a hobby he shared with his daughter.



A celebration of his life and faith will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 at First Baptist Church, Saltillo with Dr. Ken Anderson and Rev. Ronnie Hatfield officiating. Graveside services will follow at McNeil Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.



Survivors include his wife, Agnes Easterling Loden of Saltillo; two children, Andy Loden (Rita) and Lori Bostick (Larry); five grandchildren, Lexi Loden, Kristian Joshlin (Chris), Bethany Poppelreiter, Brianna Holt and Tommy Bostick, all of Saltillo; three great-grandchildren, Ava Joshlin, Addi Joshlin and Georgia Joshlin; three sisters, Jeanette Walton (Joe) of Hermitage, TN, Linda Holcomb (Don) of Fulton, JoAnn Wood (James) of Saltillo; one brother, Jerry Loden of Philadelphia, MS; and a host of nieces, nephew, great-nieces and great-nephews.



He was preceded in death by his parents Ebb Lee Loden, Sr. and Pauline Lambert Loden.



Pallbearers will be Steve Carlock, Joe Porch, Chip Prestage, Lee Prestage, Scott Wood and Richard Murff.



Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Walton, Jason Walton, Cal Smith, Danny Brewington, Albert Haddon, Lynn Sullivan, Austin Presley, Harold Knight, Steve Moxley, Gus Hildenbrand and friends and colleagues from TVA.



Visitation will be Friday, March 28, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo.
