Earlene Spear

Evelyn Earline Spear passed away on April 7, 2022 in Mobile, Alabama after an extended illness. She was born December 28, 1933. Earlene loved to garden more than anything else, but also loved her needlework before her hands no longer allowed her to do it.

Mrs. Spear is survived by two daughters, Paula Spear Brewster (Marcus) of Mobile, Alabama and Donna Spear Shirley (Paul) of Hattiesburg; five grandchildren, Trey Brewster (Mimi) of Mobile, Kelly Brewster Gray (Brent) of McKinney, Texas, Mary Shirley Fairchild (Stuart) of Madison, Mississippi, Kate Shirley Songy (Joey) of Madison, Benjamin Spear (Meridan) of Amory; eight great-grandchildren, Griffin Brewster, Wells Brewster, Coleman Gray, Lauren Gray, Joseph Songy, Wright Songy, Isabol Fairchild, and Alaric Spear; and one sister, Betty Abelow of New Jersey.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Bobby H. Spear, her son, Robert Earl Spear of Tupelo, her mother, Ruby Mae Griffin Smith of Corinth; two sisters, Linda Desser of California and Syble Logue of Corinth; and one brother, James Smith of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

A private memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Tupelo Memorial Park. Pegues Funeral Directors has been entrusted with the arrangements.
