Dwight Wilde

Saltillo - Dwight H. Wilde Jr., 74, died Thursday, September 6, 2012, at The North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born in Madison County, Marshall, NC Dec. 5, 1937 to Dwight Wilde, Sr. and Alice Bishop Wilde. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church in Marshall, North Carolina and attended Grace Baptist Church of Guntown. He was a family man, witty, funny, outgoing and never met a stranger.



Services with military honors will be 3 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2012, at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Pastor Neil Murphy officiating.



Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Jo Sprinkle Wilde; daughters Cynthia Bond of Dumas, Mississippi and Elaine Griffin of New Albany, Mississippi; sons Mark Wilde and Freddie Wilde of Saltillo, Mississippi; grandchildren, Keith, Amanda, Trey, Jimmy and Billy; five great-grandchildren; brother Frank Wilde of Marshall, North Carolina; sisters Minnie Morrow and Margaret Wooten of Leicester, North Carolina and Geraldene Helms of Asheville, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lester Wilde and John Wilde; sisters, Katy Morrow, Betty Hollifield, Merle Mathews, Emmogene Helms and Glenda Helms.



Visitation will be 1 ? 3 p.m. on Sunday.
