Doug Jenkins

New Albany " Douglas Bruce Doug Jenkins, 57, died Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County after an extended illness. He was born July 14, 1950, to the late Eugene and Florence Vest Jenkins. Until his health declined, he had worked at several area furniture manufacturing companies. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed raising game roosters.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2008 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues.

Survivors include two daughters, Bridget Jenkins of New Albany, Alisha Jekins of Mooreville; two sons, Tim Jenkins of Amory, and Anthony Jenkins and his wife, Tiffany, of Blue Springs; five sisters, Marie Wilson of Culman, Alabama, Imogene Oswalt of Shannon, Shirley Alvis of Nettleton, Mary Sue Jenkins of Mantachie, Nancy McCullough of Pontotoc; one brother, James Jenkins, of Shannon; 11 grandchildren, Emily Jenkins, Chelsea Duke, Kristen Ellis, Morgan Ellis, Jayla Smith, Charlotte Williams, Cloe Williams, Conner Williams, Ciara Jenkins, Conner Mixon, and Branigan Mixon..

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008.
