DOROTHY "DOT" PHILLIPS

Tupelo - Dorothy South Phillips, 73, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born November 20, 1943 in Hughes, Arkansas to Noonan and Cayce Mae Doan South. She was an active member of Blue Springs Baptist Church. Once she was unable to attend, she continued to praise and worship through Mr. Holland and Mrs. Maxine Boyd's television program. She thoroughly loved and enjoyed both the show and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd, who became friends with the family as well.

She enjoyed all things that were beautiful. She loved and embraced life every day. Dorothy was always singing, joking or playing around. She loved to sing and listen to music. She loved the outdoors especially fishing, working in her garden and going to yard sales. She also enjoyed cooking and coloring. First and foremost, her greatest loves were Jesus and her family. Dorothy never met a stranger. She was always a happy, loving, heartwarming and sweet lady.
