DOROTHY FRANKS NICHOLS Plantersville - Dorothy Nichols, 78, died Friday, July 17, 2015, in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 8, 1937 to Otto Durrell and Mary Irene Payne Franks. Dorothy was a book keeper for Vend Foods and attended First Baptist Church of Plantersville. She was also a Mary Kay consultant for 37 years. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Jeff Martin officiating. A graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Nichols Family Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas. Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Nichols Bass (Terry) of Parkville, Missouri; one son Donald Ray Nichols Jr., of Plantersville; one grandson, Brian Bass (Wendy) of Cabot, Arkansas; two great grandchildren, Penelope and Abbot Bass both of Cabot, Arkansas; one God daughter, Haley Robinson (Eddie) and their daughter Kadence of Booneville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Ray Nichols Sr.; three brothers, Thomas S. Franks, Prentis V. Franks and Charles D. Franks; and one sister Mary Kate Franks Wilson. Pallbearers will be David Brents, Robert Brents, Paul Brents, William Brents, Steve Franks, Tom Franks, John Wilson and Jim Wilson.
