DOROTHY D. McBROOM TUPELO - Dorothy Daisy Waters "Dot" McBroom, 92, died March 11, 2012, at the Greenhouses at Traceway. A native of Prentiss County, she was born December 24, 1919, to Guy Wesley Waters and Lena Tapp Waters. She was a member of Verona United Methodist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. March 14, 2012, at the Verona United Methodist Church at 212 E. Main St. Verona, MS with Rev. Clint McBroom with a graveside to follow at Lee Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include her two daughters, Carolyn McBroom Anglin (Wayne) of Holly Springs, and Jeanette McBroom Coker (Rickey) of Tupelo; son, Bill McBroom (Linda) of Shalimar, FL; sister, Janie Barnette of Denver, Colorado; brothers Paul Waters (Connie) of Kenosha, WI. and Guy Emmett Waters (Dot) of Memphis, TN; six grandchildren, Bonita Mendenhall (Ronnie) of Brandon, Teresa Parker (Steve) of Tupelo, Michael Anglin (Teresa) of Olive Branch, Jim Anthony (Amy) of Tupelo, Rev. Clint McBroom (Amy) of Pensacola FL, Andrew McBroom (Angela) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and Melissa McBroom of Shalimar FL; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990, William Travis McBroom, her parents, and her brother, Forrest "Dee" Waters. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Andy McBroom, Jim Anthony, Michael Anglin, Rev. Clint McBroom, Ronnie Mendenhall and Steve Parker. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at W. E. Pegues Funeral Home.
