Dorothy Morris Ford

Tupelo - Dorothy Morris Ford, 100, died Friday, August 29, 2014, at the Golden Living Nursing Facility. She was born February 2, 1914 in the Auburn Community. She was married to the late Bro. Gordy Lee Ford. She enjoyed reading the Bible, teaching Sunday School classes, and loved serving her church. She was also involved in community service and enjoyed cooking. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the Jefferson Street Chapel with Bro. Adrian Horne officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include two grandsons; Tim Ford of Tupelo, Jason Ford (Kim) of Southaven; one grand-daughter, Dale Lilly of Horn Lake and one great-grandson, Jace Ford of Southaven She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son; Jerry Ford, one sister; Ruby Webb, and one grandson; Tony Ford. Pallbearers will be Tim Ford, Jason Ford, Billy Cliffton, Rusty Sparks, Jimmy Cox, James Pirkle, Neil Turner, and Jace Ford. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m.
