DOROTHY WHITE Saltillo - Dorothy Hughlene "Miss Dot" White, 68, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 7, 2014, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Bolivar, Tennessee on June 25, 1945, to Arlon "Bill" and Neola Sue Crowley Byant. She was a resident of Saltillo for over 20 years. For most of her adult life, she was a waitress, from which she retired. She loved to garden, write poetry and shop. Her main enjoyment in life was making special things and giving them to family and friends. She was known for helping the people in her community by hosting benefits. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Saltillo. She was a loving and caring person who will be greatly missed. A celebration of her life will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Neil Murphy officiating. A graveside service will follow in Fellowship Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, Diane White of Saltillo; three sons, Grant White (Melissa) of Saltillo, Timothy White of Saltillo and Brian White (Lorraine) of Chicago, Illinois; two sisters, Jamie Dillinger of Middleton, Tennessee and Betty Moss of Lexington, Tennessee; four brothers, Thomas Bryant of Medon, Tennessee, Glen Bryant of Medon, Tennesseee, Mark Bryant of Jackson, Tennessee, Steve Bryant of Boliver, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren, Miranda White, Madison White, Bradley White, Jennifer Mahon, Dillon White, Mikey Riddle, Ashley Riddle, Hayden Riddle, Braylon Riddle, Alexis White and Cayden White. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty years, Carl Lee White; four brothers, Jim Bryant, Albert Wayne Bryant, Randy Bryant and Rodney Bryant; one sister, Peggy Bryant. Pallbearers will be Kevin Dillenger, Johnny Dillenger, Mike Presley, Jerry Henry, Richard "Bo" White and Thomas "Bubbie" White. Visitation will be 3:30 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014 at the funeral home in Saltillo.
