Doris White

Tupelo - Doris White, 73, died July 22, 2012 at her daughter's home in Pace, MS after a lengthy illness. She was a homemaker and a caregiver to many. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery, Tupelo. Survivors include her daughter, Dianne White of Pace; two sons, Wayne Weeks of Cynthiana, Kentucky and Tommy Weeks of Sumner; two step-daughters, Pat Glass of Mooreville and Norma Jean White of Vernon, Alabama; four step-sons Tony White of Mooreville, Robert White of Tupelo, DeWayne White of Mooreville and Johnny Ray White of Amory; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren: three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny White; her parents Eddie Price and Nettie Mae Ray; one daughter, Shirley Miller; two brothers, Edward and William Ray. Pallbearers will be John, Jonathan, and Edward Glass, Jeremiah Jennings, Daniel Stewart, and David Ray. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2012 at the funeral home.
