LaGrange, GA - Doris Elaine "Jerri Reed, 82, died Saturday, July 8, 2006, at West Georgia Hospice LaGrange after an extended illness. A New Albany native, she was born May 19, 1924 to the late Max and Kate Lee Clark. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Tupelo where she was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class, and the Tupelo Thursday Lunch Bunch.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Dave Jensen officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Reed Holley and husband Jimmy of West Point, GA; three grandchildren, Katie Holley of Yangon, Myanmar, Steve Holley and wife Shalyn of Valdosta, Ga, and Will Holley and fiancee Jessica Johnson of Elberta, AL; one great-grandson, Tyler Holley of Valdosta, Ga; two sisters, Prebble Campbell of Terry, MS and Marlis Steward of New Albany, MS and many beloved nieces and nephews..
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Reed and one son, Dr. Ken"Steve" Reed;three sisters, Clattus Gardner, Betty Thomas, and Dorothy Clark; three brothers, Herman, Ralph, and Ed Clark.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Holley, Will Holley, Larry Campbell, Lee Campbell, Bobby Grass, Robby Grass, Tim Grass, Hugh Clark Gardner, Terry Crane, Shane Crane, Gary Dodds, and Dennis Robbins.
Visitation will be 10 am until service time Monday at the funeral home.
In leiu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Missions Program, 300 N. Church Street, Tupelo, MS 38804; Western Heights Baptist Church Missions Program, West Point Road, LaGrange, GA 30240; or to Katie Holley, O.M.
