DONISE SMITH



Mooreville - Sharon Donise Smith, 47, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017, at Sanctuary Hospice House after a long battle with cancer. She was born January 15, 1970, to Don Umfress and Sharon McAlister. Raised in Fulton, she graduated from Itawamba Agricultural High School and received her associates degree from Itawamba Community College. On November 5, 1993, she married Chris Smith in Boguefala Baptist Church. Donise worked at the North Mississippi Medical Center billing department for over 21 years. She loved her family and spending time with them. Donise was a member of East Heights Baptist Church for 20 years. She loved her church family and enjoyed taking trips with friends.



Survivors include her husband, Chris Smith of Mooreville; sons, Logan and Parker Smith of Mooreville; mother, Sharon McAlister of Mantachie; father, Don Umfress of Dorsey; sister, Tiffany Johnson of Fulton; brother, Adam Umfress of Mantachie; father and mother-in-law, Gordon and Ann Smith of Mooreville; sister-in-law, Carol Watts (Ken) of Clarksdale, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Tony Smith (Shawnita) of Fulton; nieces and nephews, Zack and Mckenzie Johnson and Sidney and Harrison Watts.



Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.



Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at East Heights Baptist Church with visitation two hours prior to service time at the church. Rev. Tim Brown will be officiating and burial will be in Boguefala Cemetery.
