Donald Plyler
MT. VERNON - Donald V. Plyler, 80, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009, at Sanctuary Hospice House after a long illness. A native of Collierville, Tenn., he was a resident of the Mt. Vernon community and a former resident of Memphis. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Private graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Union Cemetery northwest of Belden. Sammy Lansdell and Ray Oliver will officiate. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his stepson and caregiver, Jack Dillard (Sandra) of Mt. Vernon; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Billie Q. Plyler; his parents; two brothers, Tracy Jr. and Lawrence; and a sister, Mary Louise.
