SALTILLO " Don Davidson, 65, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at his residence in Saltillo after a long illness. He was born May 8, 1942, in Calhoun County to John Thomas Jack Davidson and Rosa Nolan Davidson. He was a sales rep to Butts Meat Company for the last six years. He was a member of West Jackson Street Baptist Church. He loved riding four-wheelers and being outdoors and all the church functions of his church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the West Jackson Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Bert Harper and the Rev. Roger Smith officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include three daughters, Kellie Byars and Mike of Saltillo, Kim Johnson and Barry of Como and Kerry Heinz of Columbus; one sister, Peggy Davis of Tupelo; two brothers, Stuart Davidson of Tupelo and Jimmy Davidson of Amory; six grandchildren, Jeremy Yarbrough of Columbus, Briana Parker of Oxford, Kevin Byars and Toni Byars, both of Saltillo, and Jared Ward and Mallory Ward, both of Como; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Roy Ronald Davidson; and another brother, Shed Davidson.
Pallbearers will be Owen Martin, Marvin Hoard, Archie Kidd, Buster Priddy, Todd Davidson and his Sunday School Class at West Jackson Street Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the Saltillo Chapter of W.E. Pegues.
