DON PINGO DAKIN
Tupelo " Don Pingo Dakin, 63, died Friday, May 9, 2008, at his residence in Lake Piomingo. A Gary, Indiana native, he was born July 2, 1944 to the late Albert and Estelle Rodzynski Dakin. A graduate of Western New Mexico University in 1966 with a degree in Economics, he worked at Youngstown Steel Industry in Indiana, U.S. Reduction in Alabama, Purolator in North Carolina, Stanley Tools in Vermont, Allied Signal and Honeywell in Arizona and Barclay and Stratford in Mississippi. He was an avid fisherman and loved playing dominoes.
A private committal service will be held at a later date. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Dwayne Dakin and his wife, Kate, of Tempe, Arizona; one daughter, Technical Sergeant Suellen Hendrix,USAF and her husband, Chris, of Brook City Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren, Sam Baer, Shelby James, Courtney Hendrix, Karlee Dakin and Brody Dakin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
