Dickey Hagler

Tupelo—Dickey Barnes Hagler, age 83, passed away January 6, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 2, 1941 in Hattiesburg to James and Eula Bustin Hagler. Soon after his high school graduation, Dickey began his career in retail clothing distribution with the Big Yank Corporation in Hattiesburg where he advanced to shipping manager and vice president. He eventually landed in Tupelo where he worked for Reeds. Dickey loved his traveling adventures with his family, taking cruises all over the Caribbean and Alaska. He was an avid reader and golfer, and had a special affinity for animals. His greatest joy could be seen in his eyes whenever he spent time with his family.

Dickey leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Pat Hagler of Tupelo; his daughter, Leigh Ann Hagler; and step-son, William Harold Welch III.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Olga Hagler Holcomb, and a brother, James Brown Hagler Jr.
