Diane Reedy

Tupelo - Barbara Diane Reedy, 61, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at The Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. She was born January 20, 1948 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Arlis and Maida Davis Christian. She grew up in Itawamba County. Shortly after her marriage in 1970, she and her husband moved to Lee County, Her employment included working in the credit card department of BancorpSouth for the past 18 years. She was a member of Gumtree Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, church, shopping with her granddaughter but most especially just spending time with her granddaughter.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Charles Covington officiating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery, east of Plantersville.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Bobby Joe Reedy of Saltillo; one son, Scotty Reedy and wife, Michelle, of Tupelo; one brother, Billy Christian and wife, Linda, of Snellville, Georgia;.one granddaughter, Anna Kathryn Reedy; a special niece, Tina Felks of Saltillo; a sister-in-law, Jeanette Christian of Tupelo; one brother-in-law, Mac Reedy of Tupelo; three nephews, Brad Christian and wife, Abby, of Moyock, North Carolina, Don Christian of Tupelo and Mike Christian of Tupelo; and a niece, Heather Dodd and husband, Jason, of Cummings, Georgia

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Tommy Roy Christian.

Pallbearers will be Carl Patterson, Jimmy Pace, Wheeler Pulliam, Joe Yerby, Mike Christian, Don Christian, Brad Christian, and Vance Yerby.

Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at the funeral home.
