Mantachie- Devin Dutka, 58, died Monday, March 4, 2019 at University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital after a brief illness. He was born February 6, 1961 to Denis and Martha Sandlin Dutka. On July 2, 1999, he married Susan Peel in Olive Branch. He served as Minister of Crossroads Christian Church for many years while working at Renin Corp in Tupelo. Devin enjoyed hunting, hosting Gramps Camp for his grandchildren, exploring and hiking in the Smoky Mountains, story-telling and sharing the Gospel of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Susan Peel Dutka; daughter, Desiree Munn and her husband, Rickey of Knoxville, Tennessee; three step-children, Jackie Smith and her husband, Eric of Richland, Katy Thrasher and her husband, Chris of Baldwyn and Joseph Gill of Florence; eight grandchildren, Hannah and Isaaiah Munn, Haley Chisolm, Jewel and Leslee Thrasher, Tristan and Peyton Rowzee and Bailey Smith; his mother, Martha Dutka; two sisters, Denise Peeples and her husband, Victor of Madison, Georgia and Debbie Alig and her husband, Ben of Johnson City, Tennessee; and brother, Duane Dutka and his wife, Annette of Piggott, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Denis Dutka.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2019 and 12 p.m. until service time Saturday, March 9, 2019 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.
Services honoring his life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Victor Peeples and Adam Dutka officiating. A graveside service will follow in Crossroads Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Munn, Robby Gumm, Scott Wagner, R. Kay Willardson, Jack Quartero and David Long.
Honorary pallbearers will be Fellow Ministers of The Christian Churches of Mississippi.
