Guntown- Brenda Denise “Nee-Nee” Felks Hallmark, 48, died at home Saturday September 29, 2018. She was born November 10, 1969 in Baldwyn, Mississippi to William Boyd Felks and Brenda Lou Towery Felks. Denise was a hard worker who held many various jobs before her declining health. Nee-Nee loved her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time camping and canoeing in Buffalo River where her and her husband, Travis were married. She was an amazing cook and baker, known to make the best potato salad and coconut cake. She enjoyed playing Bingo on her phone with friends, Guy Terri and the late Wanda Switzer. Last year while hospitalized, Denise was saved and baptized.
She leaves behind her husband Travis Hallmark of Guntown; four children, Amber Dunaway of Guntown, Brian Dunaway of Saltillo, T. J. Hallmark of Guntown and Ryan Hallmark of the Palmetto Community; seven grandchildren, Hayden Blake McDonald, Tori Skye McDonald, Malachi Hayden Dunaway, Kaylee Hallmark, Parker Hallmark, Zoey Hallmark and River Hallmark; mother, Brenda Payne of Saltillo; grandmother, Shirley Sanders of Saltillo; four sisters, Brandy Morgan, Mandy Doyle, Brittany Felks and Leannda Felks and three brothers, William Felks, Kaleb Felks and Chris Felks.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Boyd Felks, step-father, Tommy Payne and grandfather, Mitch Sanders.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues. Burial will be at Saltillo Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo.
Pallbearers will be Brian Dunaway, William Felks, Kaleb Felks, T. J. Hallmark, Ryan Hallmark, Travis Hallmark, Scotty Daniels and Guy Terri.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hayden Blake McDonald, Tori Skye McDonald, Malachi Hayden Dunaway, Chris Felks, Erin Felks and Cass Felks.
