Agnes Smith Tupelo- Delia "Agnes" Gullett Smith, 76, went to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in the early morning hours of November 21, 2013. She had resided in the Courtyards Community Living Center in Fulton for the past two years and had been in the Hospice unit of the North Mississippi Medical Center for the past few days. She was born August 9, 1937 to Cliff and Vance Gullett. She loved her family and friends very much and alway brought laughter and joy to everyone. She was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church in Plantersville. She was employed for many years with Singer Sewing Machine Company. She also worked in private duty nursing and for the North Mississippi Medical Center. Services will be 11:30 A.M. Saturday, November 23, 2013, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Bro. Mark Hoover, Bro. Eugene Gullett and Bro. Wayne Gullett officiating. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery. She is survived by one son, Michael Smith (Kay) of Tupelo; Two daughters, Cynthia Alred (Dennis) of Plantersville, Serita Murphy of Plantersville; four brothers, Keylon Gullett (Mary Jane) of Memphis, TN, Wallace Gullett (Frances) of Blue Springs, Rev. Eugene Gullett (Betty) of Sorrents, LA, Rev. Wayne Gullett (Tillie) of Vardaman; one sister, Carolyn Griggs (Dexter) of Fulton; four grandsons Chris Smith (Angela) of Plantersville, Stephen Alred (Martha Carol) of Tupelo, Casey Rutledge of Verona, Zack Rutledge of Tupelo; five granddaughters, Stephanie Mayhew (Mike) of Plantersville, Kayla Foster of Verona, LaTrisha Crump (Martin) of Pass Christian, Ravyn Smith, Honna Smith both of Tupelo; Eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Smith and her parents, Cliff and Vance Gullett. Pallbearers will be Jon Wiley Alred, Chip Riner, Dalton Riner, Will Pannell, Wally Dunaway, and Terry Tartt. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Stephen Alred, Casey Rutledge, Zack Rutledge, Mike Mayhew, Dexter Griggs, Lonnie Bell and Mike Mink. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013, at Pegues Funeral Home.
