Tupelo - Debbie Dianne Hendrix, 63, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019, at her residence. On November 26, 1955, she was born to Ollie and Viola Holloway Austin in Pontotoc. A collector of Hallmark ornaments, Debbie also collected Betty Boob and Coca-Cola memorabilia over the years. She enjoyed playing Pogo on her computer. She loved spending time with her family especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Verona Church of Christ.
Survivors include her five children, Christy Arnold and her husband, Johnny of Plantersville, Amy Barnes and her husband, Kevin of Saltillo, Andrea Harris and her husband, Jeremy of Pontotoc, James Hendrix of Tupelo and Carrie Driskell and her husband, Ryan of Tupelo; seven grandchildren, Hannah Petty and her husband, Shane of Guntown, Alexis Barnes of Saltillo, Sierra Floyd of Pontotoc, Madison Gaines and her husband, Sean of Pontotoc, Emily Parmer of Saltillo, Ethan Parmer of Saltillo and Daniel Parmer of Saltillo; two great-grandchildren, Cooper Raines and Miles Gaines; two sisters, Linda Phillips and her husband, Bobby of Tupelo and Susan McNutt and her husband, Mark of Pontotoc; several nieces and nephews; aunt, Arther Rhee Dillard of Pontotoc; and close family friend, Judy Welch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Viola Austin and brother, Mark Sheffield.
A memorial service honoring her life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2019 at Verona Church of Christ with Minister Wayne Cox officiating.
