Debbie Holloway Dyer

June 9, 1960 — June 10, 2019

Deborah Holloway Dyer, 59, passed away suddenly at her home Monday, June 10, 2019.

She was born June 9,1960, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a graduate of Tupelo High School, class of 1978 where she was a cheerleader, on the homecoming court, and a member of several clubs and civic organizations. She earned her Associates Degree at Itawamba Community College, class of 1980 where she was also a cheerleader, voted class favorite, a dancer, and served on the student government association. Besides these accolades, her greatest accomplishment was her children and grandchildren.

If you had a chance to meet Debbie, whether it be for a moment in line at the grocery or the privilege of calling her friend, you knew immediately the depths of her love for others and their happiness. It was unmatched. She loved her family, friends, but especially the “grands.” She always knew how to make each one feel special. Her life is an encouragement to all to live out Philippians 2:1-3 “So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” Debbie was a caring wife, a loving mother, and dedicated daughter and sister. She put all others before herself.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Michael Alan Dyer, her father, Dale Young Holloway, her sister, Barbara Pulse as well as nieces and nephews Ashley and Zach Pulse, and her daughter, Mandi Mills Skinner along with her husband John and their children, Tripp Skinner and Callie Mills Skinner. Her son, Kyle Mills and wife Jennifer Mills and their children, Lilly and Lincoln Mills. And Josh Mills and wife Madison and their son, Brayden Mills.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bobbie Holloway.

Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2019 and 11 a.m. until service time Friday, June 14, 2019 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.
