David Ray McGheeMooreville - David Ray McGhee passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016, at his residence after a sudden illness. He was born December 12, 1963, to Clifton Strickland and Barbara Jean Reese McGhee. He was an avid lover of watching Nascar and cheering on the # 3 of Dale Earnhardt Sr. and the #88 of Dale Earnhardt Jr. In addition he was also a fan of watching WWE Raw and Smackdown, his westerns, Wheel of Fortune and the Price is Right. He was a great man of faith who was a member Ballardsville Baptist Church. David always tried to help anybody that he could and will be missed by many.He is survived by four sisters, Linda Ellis (Charles Jr.), Ann Langley (Bobby), Carolyn Tate (Darrell), Tammy Wells (Gary); two brothers, Dale McGhee (Nancy), Wayne McGhee (Pam); one special nephew Michael Langley (April) who took care of him until the end; his mother-in-law Marcelle Thomas; sister-in-law Carol Carnathan (Jackie); two brother-in-law, Jamie Thomas, David Thomas (Barbara); his step children Maura Renfro (Johnnie) Jason Thomas (Tink), Alex Campbell; ten grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife Judy; his grandparents Lillie P. Wood McGhee, Terrell Reese Sr., Mittie Mae Reese Wolf; two infant sisters.Visitation will be Monday, November 7, 2016, 4 until 9 p.m. at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. John McCalister and Rev. Danny Rushing officiating. Graveside services will follow at Green Briar Cemetery in Becker.Pallbearers will be Michael Langley, Tony Charles Smith, Michael Faulkner, Mason McGhee, Tim Langley, Terry Green, Jimmy Estes and Walker Smith.Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.Peguesfuneralhome.com
