DAVID COMPTON, JR.
Saltillo -- David Eugene Compton, Jr., 42, died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at The Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A native of Las Vegas, Nev., he was born June 30, 1964, to David Eugene and Carolyn Compton. He was employed by Celerita as a mainframe programing and account manager for the past ten years. He enjoyed baseball, music, playing his guitar, and gardening. He was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
A Memorial Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Hicks and Rev. Walter Downs officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Michaela Jean Compton of Saltillo; one daughter, Bethany Jean Compton; two sons, Matthew David Compton and Gabriel David Compton, all of the home; his parents, Carolyn and David Compton, Sr., of Las Vegas; three sisters, Kathy Reed and husband, Curt, Shawna Diaz and huband, Lanny, all of Las Vegas, and Tammy Pyor and husband, Tim, of Hood River Oregon; his grandmother, Evelyn Warren of Las Vegas, NV; his in-laws, Joseph and Kristen Dodd, Laura and Bob Galberth, Colein and Leo Martin, and many nieces and nephews, all of Las Vegas, Nev.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
