David Allen

Blue Springs- David Glen Allen, 60, died Friday, October 12, 2018 at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born in Russellville, Kentucky April 5, 1958 to Harold Houston and Willie Katherine Rust Allen. On June 30, 1979, he married Frances Karen Beard. David worked at BorgWarner in Water Valley and Phillips Lighting in Tupelo and most recently as a manager at Innocor. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. He was a member of Belden Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Beard Allen; three daughters, Heather Coltharp and her husband, Timothy, Tiffany Adams and her husband, Joseph and Kristina Sloan and her husband, TJ; two sisters, Sherry Perry and her husband, Steve and Denise Williams and her husband, Kevin; one brother, Ed Allen and his wife, Judy; nine grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Delores Allen and Donna Allen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Katherine Allen; and two brothers, Sam Allen and Rick Allen.

Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2018 and from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at W.E. Pegues, Saltillo.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Jim Holcomb and Harper Thomas officiating.

Memorials may be made to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, 848 Adams Ave. Memphis, TN 38103 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Services will be live streamed and recorded for those who may not be able to attend at www.peguesfuneralhome.com .
