DARRELL LANGSTON Saltillo - William Darrell Langston, 45, passed Friday, October 25, 2013, about 4:40 p.m. at home. He was born October 1, 1968, in Tupelo to William Earnest and Jean Langston. A life-long resident of Saltillo, he graduated from Saltillo High School in 1986. He was a maintenance worker by trade. The last several years he had devoted himself to the care of his mother. A sports fanatic, he loved watching baseball, football, NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon and even loved to golf. A devoted Cardinals fan, he had made plans to attend the World Series this year. He loved all things Ole Miss and was an avid Ole Miss fan. A celebration of his life will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 28, 2013 at The Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues. A graveside will follow at Fellowship Cemetery. Survivors include his mother, Jean Langston; his sister, Jennifer Moore (Gary); special nephew, Will Moore; special uncle and aunt, Howard and Donna Langston all of Saltillo; uncles, Jerry Lee of Columbus and Charles Lee (Naomi) of Tupelo; aunts, Irene Lamb of Tupelo and Maudine Sims of Jackson; numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Earnest Langston. Pallbearers will be Jim Rice, Michael Norris, Dewayne Jones, Kenny Hanson, Chris Brazeal and Chuck Pyle. Visitation will be 4 - 6 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Saltillo Funeral Home.
