DANNY MILES Tupelo - Danny Wayne Miles, 61, died Sunday, December 9, 2012, at his residence after an extended illness. He was born in Newton on May 24, 1951, to Floyd and Dean Stokes Miles. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and the Army National Guard, serving over fourteen years. Before his retirement, he worked eight years for Southern Bell Refrigerated as plant manager. He was an avid deer hunter and a Baptist by faith. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at the Jefferson Street Chapel with Rev. Michael Bowers officiating. Survivors include three daughters, Melissa Enlow (Scotty) of Guntown, Melanie D. Miles of Guntown and Gwen Kowach of Washington State; his mother, Dean Boyette of Meridian; four sisters, Diane Evans of Gulfport, Pam Burton (Ray) of Meridian, Debbie McDonald (Stan) of Quitman and Kathy McGowin (Kenneth) of Meridian; two brothers, Gerald Maggard (Evelyn) of Quitman and Tim Boyette of Meridian; five grandchildren, Bailey Kowach, Carsen Enlow, Brayden Kowach, Ella Kate Enlow and Braxton Miles; the mother of his children, Patricia Miles of Saltillo and son-in-law Casey Kowach of Saltillo. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Boyette; two sisters, Sylvia Collins and Sybil Reed. Pallbearers will be Kenny Hutchinson, Jessie Cummings, Scotty Enlow, Stan McDonald and Brian Estess. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at the funeral home in Tupelo.
