DAN WOOD Tupelo - Billy Dan Wood, 62, died Saturday, May 25, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a sudden illness. A Tutwiler native, he was born May 6, 1951, to Herbert Lee and Harriet Eldine Childs Wood. He was raised in Drew, Mississippi and worked for the Central Services Association. Private graveside services will be Monday, May 27, 2013, at Tupelo Memorial Park. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors will be in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his wife of thirty-three years, Linda Wood; two daughters, Dana Daugherty (Ben) of Tupelo and Ginger Stringer (Todd) of Clarksdale; two grandchildren, Crosby Claire and Marleigh Daugherty; his mother, Eldine Wood; one brother Furney Wood.
