Tupelo- Daniel Fred Hales, 80, died Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born April 22, 1935, to Harold John Hales and Ruth “Leone” Carson. Dan was raised in Clarion, Pennsylvania. In 1953, he graduated from Clarion High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy. He then went to the University of Pittsburgh and received his electrical engineering degree. Dan married Deborah Stone on May 17, 1996.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday November 29, 2015 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Stone; his children, David Spencer Hales (Jill) of West Virginia, Marsha Renee Hales Wylie (Tom) and Shirley Ann Hales Sabatina (Steve) both of Ohio; his step-children, Jesse Handley of Alabama and David Handley (Jennifer) of Colorado; his grandchildren, Kimberly Leone Hales Soetaert, Justin David Hales and Danielle Renee Wylie, Emily Handley and Lilah Handley; and a host of great-grandchildren.
He is preceded by his parents, and grandson, Thomas Henry Wylie, IV, in 2006.
Visitation will be 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday November 29, 2015 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
