Blue Springs - Shelby Dale Little, 69, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A Monroe County native, he was born November 30, 1938 to the late Shelly George and Othel P. Palmer Little. He was a United States Navy veteran. He worked 30 years as a tree surgeon for several companies including Asplundh and Davies. He was a member of Parham Community Church of Christ. He enjoyed going to yard sale and flea markets, and walking.
A private memorial service was held for immediate family. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his son, Lynney Dale Little of Blue Springs; the mother of his granddaughter, Arline Lucille Presley of Nashville; and a granddaughter, Tiffany Lynnice Presley of Nashville; three brothers, Reese Little and wife, Margaret, of Amory, Scottie Little and wife, Ann, of Memphis, and Kendall Little of Amory; four sisters, Josephine Lorick of Saltillo, Carolyn Harris of Selmer, Ala. and Elsie Tart of Amory, and Peggy Osburne of Smithville; the mother of his son and special care giver, Eunice Rice and husband, Barry, of Blue Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Farrell Little.
