Daisy White

October 17, 1917 — December 8, 2009

Baldwyn - Daisy Marie White, 92, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at her residence after a brief illness. A native of Floral, Ark., she was born October 17, 1917 to Louis and Anna Brannan Brown. She grew up in Floral, Ark. and moved to Oklahoma in a covered wagon in 1921 before returning to Arkansas a few years later. She married Arthur Rodell White who passed away 1967. She moved to Tupelo after her husband died and then moved to the Baldwyn area in 1991. She worked 22 years with the North Mississippi Medical Center as a Hospice Care nurse's aide and was one of the first class members to go through the Hospice care program in the U.S. She enjoyed sewing, reading and flower gardening She was a member of Jericho Baptist Chuch.

Graveside Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Pleasant Plains, Ark. with her son, Bro. Floyd White officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her son, Floyd Brownell White (Shirley) of Pleasant Plains, Ark.; her daughter, LaDonna Dell Roberson of Baldwyn; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until service time Saturday at the cemetery.
