Tupelo - Cynthia Daree Dunn, 86, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at the Green Houses At Traceway after an extended illness. A Tupelo native and lifelong resident, she was born February 23, 1923 to Earlie Freeman and Mary Agnes Mills. She was a loving babysitter for many moms and worked as a child care provider for West Jackson Street Baptist Church, First Christian Church of Tupelo, and East Heights Baptist Church. She was a faithful member of East Heights Baptist Church. She wsa the widow of L.R. Dunn.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Jason Marlin officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Brown (Kim) of Lincoln Neb., Ike Brown of Tupelo and John Dunn and his special friend, Pam Cummings, of Booneville; one sister, Winifred Taylor of Memphis, Tenn.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Aguirre, Rocky Howell, Mike Maynard, Gwin Berryhill, and Chris Sheffield.
